Training as an insulation technician or industrial insulator (m/f/d)
from summer 2025
Location: Klipphausen
Everyone knows that walls are insulated to store heat in the house or to protect the house from the cold. But pipes and ventilation ducts also need to be insulated. In the 3-year training course to become an industrial insulator, you will specialize in industrial insulation and learn how to insulate large systems with different insulating materials. You will first complete the two-year training course to become an insulation specialist. If the skilled worker certificate is not enough for you after two years and your grades are good, you will take an intermediate examination and can continue with the third year of training as an industrial insulator.
Your tasks during the practical training:
- Select material and process sheets
- Produce sheathing
- Read drawings
- Installing insulation materials
You will also attend vocational school in blocks and learn the theoretical part of the apprenticeship. Work on construction sites is also part of the practical training. Your profile:
- You have a lower secondary school leaving certificate or secondary school leaving certificate
- You are talented with your hands
- You are physically fit
